Bitget has announced a partnership deal with one of the greatest football stars on the planet, Lionel Messi. According to the announcement, the cryptocurrency exchange will be partnering with the Paris Saint Germain star, as the football world draws closer to cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, the partnership emerges off Bitget’s commitment to supporting sporting excellence.

As revealed, Bitget’s partnership with Lionel Messi will look into Web 3.0, cryptocurrency, and football. The cryptocurrency exchange noted that more information about the collaboration will surface as Lionel Messi prepares for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar. However, the partnership highlights the growing relationship between cryptocurrency firms and the football space.

An extract of the announcement reads; “If you’re a Lionel Messi fan, look out for exciting opportunities on Bitget coming your way. One of them will be the King’s Cup Global Invitational 2022: Football Edition, happening from November 21 to December 19, where you can win prizes of up to 100 BTC.”

Further, Bitget has partnered with numerous bodies in the footballing sphere. Prior to the collaboration with Lionel Messi, the cryptocurrency exchange collaborated with one of the biggest football clubs in Italy, Juventus. Also, Bitget partnered with Galatasary FC of Turkey, this partnership train extended to prominent eSport stronghold, Team Spirit.

However, While Lionel Messi partnered with Bitget, one of his long-time rivals, Cristiano Ronaldo collaborated with Binance. Then, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance said it would leverage Ronaldo’s popularity to bring crypto closer to football.
