Popular cryptocurrency exchange, WhiteBIT has signed a multi-year partnership with Spanish giant,FC Barcelona. The exchange announced the partnership in a Twitter post on Tuesday. As announced, the partnership manifested in order to widen the adoption and popularity of cryptocurrencies.
Worth noting that WhiteBIT, with this partnership, becomes the official crypto exchange partner of the football club. Occasioned by the partnership, the exchange and FC Barcelona will engage in media collaborations during games, star collaborations, joint projects and many more. According to WhiteBIT, its decision to partner the club is not unconnected to the fact that noted that advanced technologies has continually progressed just like the development of professional sports.
WhiteBIT and FC Barcelona partnership to continue till 2025
Notably, the partnership between both parties is expected to subsist for three years. As stipulated in the term of the partnership, WhiteBIT will act as the official partner to several critical elements of FC Barcelona. Some of these elements includes the first men’s and women’s teams and the club’s indoor sports ecosystem such as basketball, futsal, handball, and roller hockey.
Furthermore, the agreement also includes collaboration with the Barca innovation hub, Bihub, a professional football research center. Bihub aims to shape the future and set the industry standard. Also, WhiteBIT plans to collaborate with Barca legends to popularize advanced technological and sports solutions. Additionally, the exchange also wants to support Barcelona eSports space and become the official partner of the Barca eSport team.
Notably, the partnership between Barcelona and WhiteBIT remains an admonition for leaders of progressive solutions to support each other. This is because professional sport is about dynamism while blockchain is about the future. According to WhiteBIT, putting Blockchain and professional sports together will drive the most valuable aspirations of a progressive society.
Notably, this development comes a few months after WhiteBIT partnered with BRAVE LEGION, an incredible Ukrainian project. As revealed, BRAVE LEGION is a creative front in form of a charitable NFT collection. It runs as a subsidiary of the Public Organization Gumbat. Occasioned by the collaboration, about 500 NFT Ukrainian characters with WhiteBIT logo on their clothes and accessories became created. Also, it plans to channel 90% of the proceeds realized from the sale of the NFT collection to helping Ukraine.
Rebranding plan by the exchange
Recently, WhiteBIT announced its plan to rebrand its logo and style of communication with users. According to the exchange, it intends to reveal the secret of the rebranding to its users soon. As revealed, the exchange embarked on the rebranding so as to become bolder, more open, and to be more determined.
