The collaboration became geared towards building a metaverse office situated in Decentraland. The office is identified as the “Viceverse office”. Accordingly, the space serving as a digital experience manifest to become a platform for the workers of the Vice media group.


In recent times, a popular social networking platform launched its Horizon Workrooms space to offer digital avatars to users. The Workroom also allows them to host meeting sessions and collaborate in a digital world. In addition, a leading software multinational firm initiated a metaverse office, identified as Teams to aid its workplace communication operations. Serving as a virtual office, the metaverse space further provides an outlet for firms to equip workers with technical skills. For instance, workers of Walmart used the metaverse experience to attain knowledge as regards the usage of kiosks in securing online pickups and handling shootings. At Verizon associates, the trend served as a platform for workers to brace ahead for the tedious customer service issues.

Factors hindering the massive adoption of the Metaverse


Despite the prevalent prospects attached to the emerging metaverse office, its adoption seems rather smaller than expected. Research, however, identified certain factors as hindrances to the massive adoption of metaverse offices by most renowned firms.
