Fan Token of popular cryptocurrency exchange, Binance has partnered with FC Shakhtar, a renowned football club in Ukraine. The exchange announced the partnership in its latest blog post. According to the post, the partnership is geared towards aiding fans experience by allowing them showcase their knowledge in football.
Meanwhile, the partnership agreement will pave the way for Binance FanToken to organize a match prediction challenge for football fans. As revealed, the challenge will allow fans to make informed judgements on the outcome of FC Shakhtar’s games. Worthy of note that about $36,000 worth of rewards will be made available for 12 of the team’s matches between April to June 2023.
Occasioned by this development, FC Shakhtar has emerged as the first partner to work with Binance Web3 Services (BWS). The BWS is an initiative established to assist organizations and brands seeking to transit from Web2 to Web3. Founded in 1936, Shakhtar has won various cups. About two decades ago, it became the first Ukrainian club to win the UEFA cup. The football club has also won the Ukrainian premier League and Ukrainian Cup 13 times.
Through the partnership, FC Shakhtar wants to strengthen its relationship and connection to its fans. It believes in the potential of of Binance Fan Token and Binance Web3 Services to deliver this ambition. According to the announcement, the Ukrainian giant will leverage on the collaboration to explore its fanverse and web3, thereby connecting with its fan base across the globe.
FC Shakhtar Fanverse goes live on Binance
Remarkably, FC Shakhtar Fanverse is now accessible on the Binance platform. As such, users can take part in various fun activities and earn fan rewards. Although, they need to claim a fanverse passport to enjoy these services. Meanwhile, users can either claim an experience passport or a super passport.
Binance Fan Token highlighted several criteria for users to claim the fanverse passport. They include logging in as a new user through ID verification or friend referrals. Meanwhile, any user who attains the Super passport level will be able to unlock the full range of features and activities on FC Shakhtar Fanverse. Some of these features include the match prediction challenge and a prize pool of $36,000.
FC Shakhtar and Binance Fan Token intends to display a leaderboard to show the total points accumulated by different users throughout the prediction challenge. Top performers in the challenge will be entitled to numerous rewards. Some of these rewards include VIP tickets to FC Shakhtar home matches in European competitions, meet and greet opportunities with the FC Shakhtar team at its stadium, football shirt signed by FC Shakhtar’s star players, among others.
