Popular Tech firm Meta has announced that users of its Instagram and Facebook apps can now post NFTs on their accounts by connecting their wallets. The tech firm made this development known in its latest Twitter post. As revealed, users can directly link their MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, and Dapper wallet to the social media platform. Also, the platforms can be used to post digital collectibles minted on Floe, Ethereum, and Polygon.
Worth noting that the development comes a few weeks after Meta unveiled its plan to allow Instagram users across 100 countries to post NFTs. As revealed, Meta plans to allow its users to post NFTs minted on either the Flow, Polygon, or Ethereum blockchain. As of now, the company enjoys over 1 billion user base.
According to the post, Meta has started giving out digital collectibles on Facebook and Instagram. With the latest development, users now have the avenue to post their digital collectibles across the two social media platforms. The post further revealed that it would enable users to connect their digital wallet to any of the media apps in order to share their digital collectibles across the two of them.
However, Meta says linking Digital wallets to Facebook or Instagram remains limited to its social media apps. This means that linking the wallet through external browsers appears impossible. The firm added that integrating NFTs on every smartphone with Meta application helps to boost the platform revenue. Meta, however, wants users to harness the new feature incorporated on Facebook and Instagram very well.
Meta showing activeness in NFT and other blockchain-oriented trends
Over the years, the firm shows consistent activeness in NFT and other blockchain trends. In May, Meta submitted a patent and trademark application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The application, as reported, manifested to operate a crypto payment platform identified as Meta Pay. According to the company’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, Meta possesses the opportunity to expand its revenue as the digital world evolves.
Additionally, the firm intends to continuously invest in NFT and metaverse projects. Mark believes that NFTs and Metaverse possess the capacity to thrive more in the coming years. Furthermore, the firm aim to captivate more audience by empowering individuals with tools that allow them to display their digital valuables through posts. Also, Meta seeks to promote blockchain and encourage more crypto users to exhibit their digital art on the global platform. As revealed, NFT post appears similar to normal posts and can be viewed on feeds.
