Leading cryptocurrency exchange, Gate.io has collaborated with World Tennis League to launch a range of limited edition double NFTs. The exchange announced the development in a Twitter post on Tuesday. Notably, the new NFT collections, as reported, will be powered by EX-Sports, a popular fan engagement platform and game publisher powered by blockchain.
According to Gate.io, the NFTs will feature some of the star players who have taken part in the league. It promised to avail more details on the collections in the shortest possible period. Gate.io, however, reiterates its commitment to expanding its offerings in a bid to cement its global presence and advance users experience.
Gate.io seeking to expand its presence
Over time, Gate.io has engaged in several collaborations to aid its presence. Recall that recently, it collaborated with Busan city to offer training to thousands of local blockchain professionals in the city every year. Further, through the partnership, Gate.io availed technology and infrastructural support to Busan.
Also, a few months ago, it integrated the P2E blockchain-based game, Tap Fantasy into its Gate mini app. Worthy of note that Gate mini app runs as a platform that integrates third-party web3, blockchain-based, and crypto-friendly applications directly into the Gate.io mobile app. This thus allow users to access various applications geared towards shopping, Gamefi, Metaverse and many more. However, the P2E blockchain-based game, Tap Fantasy became the first game to launch on the platform. But, the exchange pledged that its Gate mini app will continue to integrate more blockchain games. More so, it affirmed ongoing efforts on the app to add new pathways to use and spend digital assets.
Just last month, Gate.io also partnered MIZU DAO to list its passcard NFT collection on its native NFT marketplace. Worthy of note that MIZU DAO runs as a web3 DAO, focusing on community development within the web3 ecosystem. Notably, the partnership manifested owing to Gate.io’s combination of centralized and decentralized services as well as its commitment to ensuring adequate security and transparency. The exchange usually maintain a high level of security without sacrificing transaction speeds, thereby allowing users to trade with ease.
Growing relationship between crypto firms and sporting actors
Meanwhile, Gate.io is not the first cryptocurrency exchange to delve into the sporting world. Just recently, a fellow crypto exchange, WhiteBit partnered with Spanish Giant, FC Barcelona in order to widen the adoption and popularity of cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Similarly, a leading crypto exchange, Binance also collaborated Portuguese champion, FC Porto to launch NFT mystery box. Notably, the same Binance also partnered FC Shakhtar to extend support to victims of the ongoing war in Ukraine. All these thus justifies the growing relationship between cryptocurrency firms and the sporting actors.
