Popular digital blockchain and gaming firm, Animoca Brands has collaborated with Emergent, a renowned metaverse and blockchain game studio. Animoca Brands announced the development via a Twitter post on Tuesday. As revealed, the aim of the partnership is to aid the development of resurgence, the upcoming survival MMORPG.
Occasioned by the partnership, Animoca Brands will closely work with the blockchain games studio to offer technical support for Resurgence. Apart from this, both firms will work together to provide support and advisory services in some key areas. Some of these areas include governance, tokenomics, business strategy, strategic partnership development, and marketing of the survival-focused MMORPG.
Emergent Entertainment Chief Executive Officer, Ian Hambleton, made some comments as regards the collaboration with Animoca Brands. He maintained that the gaming firm has demonstrated an exceptional understanding of Web3 technology. The CEO further that Animoca brands shares the same goal as Emergent on matters relating to innovation.
He expressed confidence in the creativity of Emergent. According to him, the firm is also committed to providing support for projects so as to accelerate the progress of the gaming industry. Hambleton further that his firm is excited to redefine the future of gaming and deliver unforgettable experiences to players worldwide.
Furthermore, Animoca Brands’ co-founder and executive chairman, Yat Siu also reacted to the partnership. He commended Emergent for its vast expertise in developing AAA-grade games for Web3. Siu further noted that Animoca Brands is looking forward to fostering the success of Resurgence.
Resurgence to run on Immutable X – Emergent
Recently, Resurgence emerged as an AAA free-to-play post-apocalyptic open-world crafting survival game powered by blockchain technology. According to a recent post by Emergent, the game will run on the Immutable X platform. It is imperative to note that Immutable X is notable for providing advanced scaling capabilities and a carbon-neutral zero-gas fees environment. The platform also sustains the powerful security and decentralized characteristics of Ethereum.
