Top crypto exchange Binance has announced a partnership deal with GRAMMYs that will see it become the official crypto partner for the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards which will hold on Sun, April 3, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The exchange made the announcement on Friday via its blog, part of which reads;

As the official crypto exchange partner of the GRAMMY Awards, we will continue to work with the Recording Academy throughout the year to bring various Web3 technology solutions and experiences to the organization’s members, events and initiatives.

Binance, A Perfect Choice — Recording Academy

Speaking about the partnership deal, co-president of Recording Academy Panos A. Panay says that choosing Binance was an easy decision. He further explained that seeing as Binance is a leading player in the crypto space, GRAMMYs’ mission to empower people around the world through music, can be easily achieved with a community-based approach. Panay also added;

As we continue to evolve the Recording Academy for a rapidly changing music industry and for the next generation of creators, we feel that it’s important to work with innovative partners to explore new monetization avenues for our members and create new experiences for music fans.

Meanwhile, Binance co-founder Yi He has also expressed how the partnership deal came into being. According to He, Binance shares similar goals with the Recording Academy in putting users and people first. And seeing as the Recording Academy has been trying to evolve in order to meet changing demands by its community, it was an easy choice of a partnership.

“Starting with the GRAMMYs, we are excited to work together with the Recording Academy to bring fresh new experiences powered by blockchain and all the great things Web3 technology can bring to entertainment.”

Crypto Adoption

Binance has been signing on to various partnership deals across board as part of its crypto adoption efforts. In fact, the GRAMMYs partnership follows after Binance launched Bifinity, its official fiat-to-crypto payments provider as it looks to continue widening its reach.

With this deal however, Binance will offer Web3 solutions for members of the Grammys and all its other events throughout the year. Meanwhile, more details about the partnership will be announced as they come to light.
