Ethereum-based metaverse game, The Sandbox, has partnered with partners with Renault Korea Motors, the South Korean subsidiary of French automaker Renault SA to provide digital automotive experiences in the metaverse. The gaming protocol announced the development in a blog post on its official handle. According to The Sandbox, the collaboration tends to avail consumers with new ways to experience vehicles in the virtual space.
As reported, The Sandbox, through the partnership, plans to support marketing collaborations for Renault Korea Motors. More so, the collaboration between the two will cement a long-term relationship to engage with potential customers familiar with the digital environment.
Cindy Lee, CEO of The Sandbox Korea, reacted to the development. According to Lee, the partnership depicts The Sandbox as a protocol that can develop without any industrial limits. He further that the project introduces varieties of new experiences that entail automobiles and digital assets in The Sandbox.”

Notably, this partnership comes few weeks after The Sandbox announced an investment agreement with Index Game. Reportedly, the agreement will see The Sandbox invest about US$1.7 million in the Index game. This development makes Index the first Hong-Kong-based firm to obtain investment from The Sandbox. Additionally, The Sandbox plans to increase the funding to US$6 million by 2023. Similarly, the metaverse game platform aims to avail Index Game with exclusive arrangement for IPs.
According to findings, Index game plans to use the investment to maintain the pace of its development in the metaverse space. More so, Index wants to foster its NFTs, GameFi, and Web3.0 projects in a bid to unveil a play-to-earn project.
Additionally, the gaming firm, in July, partnered with the biggest amusement park in South Korea, LOTTE WORLD. Reportedly, it intends to bank on the partnership to explore the content IP licenses of LOTTE WORLD in the creation of worldwide NFT games.
It also collaborated Autograph and Tony Hawk Inc to launch a Tony Hawk LAND in The Sandbox. This development, as reported, announced Tony Hawk entry into the Metaverse space. According to The Sandbox, it intends to bank on Tony Hawk’s 6×6 LAND to build the largest virtual skatepark. Notably, Autograph will initiate Tony Hawk avatar NFTs on Tony Hawk and “his most iconic skateboards, equipment, and apparel, including the legendary skateboard Tony Hawk used to land the 900 at the X Games in 1999.”
