Notably, Gameused.com verifies sports memorabilia using the Chiliz Blockchain. It also employs embedded NFC (near-field communication) chips. This thus allows fans and collectors to immediately authenticate memorabilia using their respective smartphones. Occasioned by this development, the owner of the ball becomes able to watch the actual goal at any given time. Meanwhile, Socios.com plans to make this memorabilia exclusively redeemable to Inter and AC Milan Fan Token holders. This thus makes it a part of Socios collectibles.
Meanwhile, Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A reacted to the development. The CEO affirms the commitment of Lega Serie A to allow fans dream of securing the original balls that tends to decide the final of the EA Sports Supercoppa Italia between AC Milan and Inter Milan. De Siervo added that the partnership with Socios.com makes Lega Serie A the first League to allow fans own the iconic object. More so, the CEO said the initiative enhances the Lega Serie A product. It also enables the league to share a piece of its history with fans in a tangible way, he noted.
