In a bid to improve security and accessibility for its native token, Pendulum has integrated into Ledger’s Developer Mode. The platform made the announcement today via an official blog post. As disclosed, Pendulum aims to leverage Ledger’s cold storage to combat any virtual threats. In the announcement, the platform described Ledger as a globally recognized hardware wallet provider that delivers “robust security solutions.”

Meanwhile, the firm revealed how it accessed the integration before venturing into it. Pendulum described how it consulted one of its partners; ZondaxHub, for the assessment. Following the success of the examination, the platform stated that from time to time it will consult Zondax. With that, it will enjoy the support of this partner to help review and make changes to the Pendulum application on Ledger. According to the announcement, the support will become crucial each time Pendulum seeks to execute code changes.

The integration has placed the application for accessibility in the developer mode. However, the announcement revealed how it will become available to the public upon the completion of some key processes. These processes include a comprehensive security audit and official acceptance from the Ledger team. During this phase, Pendulum intends to fulfill all audit requirements and make needed changes before releasing it for public use.

How to access the Pendulum app in Ledger’s Developer Mode

In the announcement, the firm disclosed certain steps that will offer a pathway for the accessibility of Pendulum on Ledger’s Developer Mode. As stated, users must own a Ledger device; Nano S or Nano X before accessing the application. Likewise, they must comply with the standards of Ledger’s website.

More so, Pendulum discussed how the present state of the app on Ledger is primarily suitable for advanced users. Nevertheless, the platform emphasized that other community members can still access it to familiarize themselves with the application and give due feedback. Similarly, Pendulum in the announcement discussed how the integration will help enhance the adoption of its native token; PEN.

It is worth mentioning that the integration into Ledger’s Developer Mode surfaced shortly after Alchemy Pay collaborated with Pendulum. On July 5, 2023, Binbits reported how the two firms partnered to offer a fiat on-ramp option for $PEN. According to the report, the collaboration intended to provide users with friendly fiat-crypto usage of $PEN.
