Millennials and Gen Z have adopted cryptocurrencies faster than any other generation. Tayyab Shafiq, a 26-year-old engineer, is no exception to this trend. The young man runs a café in Britain by ‘Chai Ada.’ Additionally, the outlet serves masala chai, vada pav, and biryani, among other food items.

However, Chai Ada has recently grabbed headlines for something else. The café chain is the first outlet in Britain to accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment. This means that customers can purchase their snacks with crypto.

The Cafe Owner Believes In Crypto Supremacy

The owner of Chai Ada, Tayyab Shafiq, is a staunch cryptocurrency supporter. Speaking to news agencies, Shafiq says, “Digital currency is the currency of the future due to its decentralized nature.”

Additionally, Shafiq says that other outlets will soon follow suit and accept crypto. Shafiq is a mechanical engineer. Moreover, Shafiq says that he has always been linked to technology and innovation due to his studies.

Also, he comes from a business family and is a big foodie himself. Talking about his decision to open Chai Ada, Shafiq says he wanted “to integrate all of these into one.” Hence, Café Ada fulfills his interest in technology, love for food, and business-oriented background.

Chai Ada Has Developed An App To Accept Crypto

The café chain accepts payments in cash, card, and now in cryptocurrency. Moreover, the chain is launching an app to accept crypto payments. Also, Shafiq adds that they are also looking to accept payments in Ripple, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. The owner says that big crypto coins charge higher transaction fees. Hence, consumers can make faster payments with the crypto, as mentioned earlier coins.

Chai Ada’s operation manager, Rana, says that making crypto transactions is very simple. He explains that it is “a quick transfer over the phone from your crypto wallet to ours.” Moreover, Rana spoke about the increasing popularity of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Furthermore, the Café also has metaverse plans for the future.

Accordingly, the Cafe’s idea includes a metaverse where people can have virtual meetings. This will allow them to sit at Chai Ada ‘virtually.’This new Café is located quite close to the BBC Television Centre. Also, there is a famous shopping mall located right next to Chai Ada.
