Popular cryptocurrency exchange, Binance has partnered Kazakhstan State Organization to launch country-wide blockchain education initiative. The exchange announced the development in a Twitter post on Tuesday. As announced, the aim of the partnership is to ensure the delivery of blockchain education to 40,000 people by 2026.
Notably, to carry out this initiative, Binance also partnered with the research lab “Blockchain center”. The research lab was created by the Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Astana Hub. The Ministry of Digital Development, innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Ministry of Education also took part in the creation. According to reports, this lab became initiated to lead the blockchain industry, develop and implement blockchain education programs in Kazakhstan.
Binance to avail Kazakhstan universities with educational materials and support
As revealed, the memorandum of agreement became signed by Kazakhstan Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace industry, Mr. Musin. Also, other signatory to the memorandum include the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Chairman for the Board of the Center for the development of Payment and Financial Technologies Mr. Zhalenov, and Mr. Madiev, the General Manager of Binance Kazakhstan. As regards the term of the agreement, Binance plans to avail universities with educational materials and support. This material will be used to develop and execute the basic educational program on blockchain compliance in the universities.
Worth noting that Kazakhstan remains one of the first countries to inculcate basic blockchain studies into its university curriculum. It believes the partnership with Binance tends to further foster the emergence of professionals with knowledge in blockchain, digital assets, and compliance.
Binance CEO meeting Kazakhstan President
Notably, the development comes some months after the meeting of Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao with the Kazakhstan president, Mt. Tokaev. As revealed, both parties discussed cooperation in blockchain and crypto education. Recall that in October this year, Binance also obtained a permanent license from Kazakhstan AIFC Financial Services Authority(AFSA).
Asia Regional head of Binance, Gleb Kostarev reacted to the partnership with Kazakhstan. According to Kostarev, Binance remains in support of Kazakhstan goal of becoming a key player in digital technology. He further that increasing blockchain education in the country tends to play a major role to play in this goal. Kostarev noted that Binance places a value on education as its academy remains one of the biggest learning hub. In addition, the Asia regional head classified the partnership with Kazakhstan remains a step forward in achieving Binance goal. The official further that the exchange aims to avail accessible and standard-setting blockchain and crypto education to everyone.
