One of the largest public holders of Ethereum, SharpLink Gaming has revealed its plans to bring its common stock, SBET on-chain. The firm announced the development on Thursday through an official blog post.

According to the statement, the gaming giant will tap into the strengths of the Ethereum network to ensure more access to its stock. SharpLink added that it will collaborate with financial technology company Superstate to actualize the goal.

Further, the Ethereum investor said it will tokenize its Nasdaq-listed stock SBET leveraging Superstate’s Open Bell tokenization solution. The latest partnership with Superstate indicates how SharpLink is following the footsteps of public companies bringing their common stock to the blockchain space.

Recently, Forward Industries, another Superstate’s partner, disclosed tokenizing its shares on Solana using the Open Bell platform. However, Sharplink’s synergy with Superstate will go beyond bringing SBET to the blockchain space.

In a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), SharpLink aims to work with its partner to innovate how tokenized public stocks can become available on automated market makers (AMMs). Also, the firm seeks to bring the trading option to other decentralized finance platforms, while maintaining a fully compliant posture.

The company said its latest move further aligns with the broader Project Crypto of the United States SEC that targets the advancement of US securities regulation to improve trading conditions within the digital assets market.

Side notes

The co-CEO of SharpLink, Joseph Chalom said the move is a statement that depicts the future trajectory of the global capital markets. Likewise, Chalom declared that bringing the company’s equity directly to the Ethereum network is beyond technological advancements.

It is worth mentioning that SharpLink is currently the second institutional investor of Ethereum. Since its market debut in 2019, SharpLink Gaming has been serving iGaming and sports betting firms as a performance-based marketing firm.

In June 2025, the company launched its Ethereum reserve with the aim of becoming the largest public holder of ETH. So far, SharpLink has spent more than $3 billion to acquire 837,230 ETH.

To further boost its ETH holdings, SharpLink, in August raised $200 million. According to a Binbits report, the fundraising efforts further reflects the commitment of the company to become the biggest holder of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Ether.
