Global multi-asset platform eToro has finally completed the acquisition of an Australian investing platform Spaceship. In a Thursday blog post, eToro confirmed the deal, describing it as a huge feat for its business.
According to the popular multi-asset platform, its decision to acquire Spaceship aligns with its commitment to continuously improve its product offerings across the length and breadth of Australia. It wants to deliver the right tools, knowledge, products, and services that serve the long-term investing objectives of users in the country. As such, eToro feels the addition of Spaceship into its ecosystem will help support both new and existing users in Australia.
CEO and co-founder of eToro Yoni Assia says both platforms – eToro and Spaceship share the same ambition of making investing accessible to everybody. Assia says Spaceship looks forward to the future, adding that the platform will be a great addition to the eToro family. Given its two decades of experience building, innovating, and serving clients in a compliant manner, the co-founder believes both firms will take its offerings to the next level in Australia.

Assia added that eToro is expanding its long-term savings and investing proposition for its global users. Describing the platform’s acquisition of Spaceship as a step in such direction, the exec said eToro’s primary objective is to provide the right tools and knowledge for people to effectively optimize their wealth.
Spaceship CEO Andrew Moore also shared some insights into the acquisition deal. Moore believes the collaboration with eToro remains pivotal for Spaceship development in Australia. According to him, the significant stride will accelerate its momentum in the country and activate more opportunities for growth. Moore further reaffirmed Spaceship’s commitment to aligning with eToro’s goal of making investing accessible to all and sundry.
