The Japanese organ of Binance has received key certifications that attest to the safety of the cryptocurrency trading platform. According to a blog post released on Thursday, the exchange gained ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 licenses after a stern audit.
According to the statement, the certifications were provided by the British Standards Institution (BSI). More so, the audit focused on evaluating the internal policies, governance systems, and operational control of Binance Japan.
These certifications as per the announcement are internationally approved standards for information security governance and privacy information management. More so, the firm said the approvals underline the achievement of its Japan branch in ensuring the “highest global standards in security and privacy.”
As revealed, the latest development will further enhance investors’ trust and confidence in the virtual assets sector. Also, the crypto exchange narrated that the approval further attests to the strength of its data security and privacy measures across various jurisdictions and regulatory regimes.
Following the latest development, the Japanese branch of Binance promised to keep strengthening its system and services. By that, the company aims to contribute to the advancement of the web3 ecosystem in Japan through secure and sustainable growth.
Additionally, the digital assets trading platform went on to narrate how the approvals serve as a “formal acknowledgment” for its emphasis on data security and privacy. However, the firm heaped praises on its security governance team for upholding a good standard on the platform.
Further, Binance Japan said the team has remained pivotal in maintaining a high level of privacy and security across all regions. The company disclosed that it has received similar acknowledgment in various countries including France, UAE, Turkey, Thailand, Bahrain, and Kazakhstan.

The General Manager of Binance Japan, Takeshi Chino discussed how the platform has maintained a top-level of security in a fast-growing virtual assets sector. Chino stated that by upholding a good standard the exchange will build a broader societal trust.
Consequently, the executive added that the cryptocurrency exchange will continue to ensure that the platform remains safe and maintains the trust of users in Japan. Similarly, the Chief Security Officer of Binance, Jimmy Su revealed that vast information security governance is important to maintaining a long-term advancement in the industry.
The security expert added that Binance will continue to support its Japan branch, equipping it with cutting-edge security innovations. Su explained that the approach is part of Binance’s broader commitment to user protection.
