Popular cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com has entered into a strategic partnership with DMCC, a leading international business district, to deepen tokenisation across the global commodities market. Crypto.com confirmed the development in a blog post where it added that the partnership also lays the groundwork for next-generation trade infrastructure.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, both partners plan to explore how blockchain technology can reduce settlement friction, and improve price transparency. The partnership also intends to broaden market access across major commodities segments from precious metals and diamonds to energy and agri-markets.

DMCC and Crypto.com intend to evaluate the possibility of listing tokenised commodities listed on the exchange. This also includes exploring custody models, liquidity-facilitation mechanisms, and the potential facilitation of digital-asset payments across DMCC’s digital platforms and selected member use cases.

Sulayem pointed out that this structural shift offers greater transparency and opens up access to international markets. The CEO also mentioned that through the collaboration with Crypto.com, DMCC is exploring high-value applications, from securely issuing and managing tokenized commodities to developing new models for custody, liquidity, and digital asset payments.

Eric Anziani, the president and chief operating officer of Crypto.com, highlighted that tokenized real-world assets stand as one of the most significant breakthroughs in the digital economy. He also mentioned that collaborating with DMCC offers an excellent platform to explore these opportunities responsibly and on a large scale.
