MEXC, a top global cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the launching of MEXC Foundation. The exchange confirmed the development in a blog post on Wednesday, adding that the newly launched foundation will accelerate responsible growth and inclusive adoption of blockchain and the web3 ecosystem.

MEXC added that the foundation through a variety of initiatives and targeted support, will drive innovation, cultivate knowledge, and broaden access to opportunities worldwide, making blockchain a force for meaningful and practical change. The foundation also introduces a transformative approach in the cryptocurrency industry by prioritizing corporate responsibility that emphasizes the development of sustainable ecosystems over short-term profits.

It’s worth noting that the MEXC Foundation operates on three core pillars; education, empowerment, and community giving. As revealed, education plays a vital role in driving blockchain literacy. The foundation will cultivate the next generation of Web3 leaders via initiatives including scholarships, youth programs, academic partnerships, and open-source learning.

Similarly, empowerment champions inclusion and representation across the ecosystem. It provides support to marginalized builders, student hackathons, mentorships, potential projects, and incubator programs to create pathways for diverse talent to thrive. Community giving however extends beyond industry, ranging from humanitarian aid to environmental action. The foundation aims to collaborate with nonprofits and grassroots organizations to create sustainable benefits for underserved communities and the planet.

Furthermore, the MEXC Foundation is set to launch scholarship and mentorship programs later this year. This will also be followed by a full-scale mentorship and career placement initiative in early 2026. By focusing on underrepresented regions worldwide, the MEXC Foundation aims to break down barriers related to talent shortages and accessibility that hinder web3’s growth in an inclusive way.

MEXC COO comments on the launch

Meanwhile, the Chief Operating Officer at MEXC, Tracy Jin has commented on the launch of the Foundation. Jin revealed that for blockchain and the broader crypto industry to move forward, there is a need for more than just technological breakthroughs- the industry needs the supporting power that drives real-world adoption. The executive also emphasized the critical role of the foundation in the firm’s dedication to fostering innovation. By bringing together education, empowerment, and community giving, the foundation aims to transform the potential of blockchain into meaningful and impactful change.
