Valhalla, a play-to-earn game by popular cryptocurrency project Floki Inu has reached a strategic partnership agreement with the Kerala Cricket League. The P2E game confirmed the collaboration on Friday through a post on its official X page.

According to the statement, Valhalla will become an associate sponsor of the Kerala Cricket League.  The partnership as per the project will help boost the popularity of the play-to-earn game and other projects from the Floki Inu stables.

With the initiative, the game aims to tap into the growing population of crypto and blockchain enthusiasts in India and the Middle East at large. More so, the partnership underlines how projects in the digital assets space are working closely with sports teams and competitions to drive adoption.

Meanwhile, the new Kerala Cricket League will kick off from August 21 to September 6, 2025, at the Greenfield International Cricket Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Six local cricket teams from the state of Kerala will feature in the tournament that is billed for broadcast across India, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and the UAE.

As part of the partnership agreement, Valhalla’s logo and name will be publicly displayed throughout the tournament. By that, the metaverse game will become more exposed to cricket fans in India and the Middle East putting the project on track to become a global brand.

Side note on Valhalla

Inspired by Norse Methodology, Valhalla is a play-to-earn game with a player-driven economy and combat in-game action. Launched on June 30, the game features a unique gameplay where players can find, tame, and battle with some creatures known as Veras to earn $FLOKI, the native token of Floki Inu.

The FLOKI price token power Valhalla as browser-based MMORPG. To push the popularity of the game, Floki Inu is using its Treasury to fund in-game rewards, marketing, and project expansion. Shortly after its launch, $FLOKI went up by 5%, reflecting the enthusiasm around the metaverse game.

Similarly to the collaboration with the Kerala Cricket League, in 2024 before Valhalla launched on mainnet, the project joined forces with an English football club, Sunderland AFC. The agreement saw the play-to-earn game become the back-of-the-shirt sponsor for the club during the 2024/2025 season.

During the run, Sunderland AFC won promotion back to the English Premier League after beating Sheffield United during the playoff at Wembley on May 24, 2025.
