Coinbase adds Trump’s campaign manager to its advisory council

Coinbase exchange has officially announced the addition of four new members to its Global Advisory Council. The exchange announced this development in a blog post on its official website. Among the notable appointees is Chris LaCivita, who previously served as the campaign manager for President Trump.

Other appointed members of the committee include Former U.S Senator, Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Bill Dudley, and global development and international finance expert, Luis Alberto Moreno. As revealed, these newest additions to the Coinbase executive leadership team will prepare the company as it navigates new political and regulatory realities.

Chris LaCivita is a skilled political strategist who served as the co-campaign manager of President Trump in the just concluded U.S. presidential election. He is currently the Republican National Committee Chief of Staff. LaCivita also served as the political director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee for two cycles.

In response to his appointment, LaCivita stated that the crypto industry is deserving of greater support and consideration than what it received from the previous administration. He, however added that he looks forward to partnering with Coinbase as the country enters into a new political era led by a pro-crypto president.

Another appointed member, Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) expressed her delight in working with Coinbase to create a financial system that empowers Americans to take charge of their financial future. Sinema who happened to be a former Senator, U.S representative, policy and business expert also made valuable contributions across essential legislative sectors.

Coinbase onboard Federal Economic Regulator to its advisory council

Bill Dudley, the third appointed member of Coinbase advisory council, brings extensive experience onboard as a federal economic regulator. He served as the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from 2009 to 2018. Dudley also served as the executive director of the Markets Group at the NY Fed, and was the Chief U.S Economist at Goldman Sachs.

In addition, Luis Alberto Moreno who happened to be the fourth appointed member of council is a Colombian native and experts in global development and international finance. He recently completed his 15-year tenure as the president of the InterAmerican Development Bank Group.
